Whistler and Meribel have come out on top yet again and tripsologists have been sharing their top tips on where to stay in each of these spectacular resorts. If you’re ready to hit the slopes, check out what the community had to say on their mountain lodgings so that you can make the most of your trip and choose the accommodation that suits your needs and your pocket.

It doesn’t matter if you’re an expert skier or if you’re an absolute beginner, don’t worry, there’s facilities to suit every level in both resorts; from novice to export you’re sure to find the spot that suits your ability and still enjoy all that these stunning places have to offer.

Whistler – tripsologists Top Long Haul Ski Destination

Constantly in the limelight as Canada’s premier ski resort, it comes as no surprise that tripsologists have rated Whistler their no.1 ski destination for 2019 too. Whistler offers a fairy-tale setting for lovers of winter sports but it’s also a super chic spot for apres ski dining and nightlife.

Whistler boasts two ski mountains – Whistler mountain and Blackcomb mountain – and the addition of the handy Peak 2 Peak Gondola means that you can flit between both with ease, enjoying two spectacular peaks in one day. According to tripsologists, many of the mountain runs are for intermediate to advanced level skiers but there are easier runs and facilities for beginners too so you won’t feel left out if you’re travelling with a bunch of extreme skiers. Whistler isn’t just for ski-ing either; the resort is a big favourite of trekkers, mountain bikers and climbers as well as those who simply love the stunning surrounds and who like to admire the views from the bars and restaurants of the pretty village below. People come to Whistler in summertime too.
