It’s no wonder this is one of the world’s biggest parties and everyone wants to be here. Princes Street is the main hub of the action as bands and djs fill the air with great music. The place is packed with happy revellers from all over the world who have come to experience a proper Scottish ‘Hogmanay’ and what could be better than saying ‘Happy New Year’ to some of the friendliest people on earth.

Some of the biggest and best celebrations can be found in the UK capital and London is the place to be to get your sparkle on for seeing in the New Year in style.
To really get into the mood, catch the magnificent fireworks over the River Thames as they light up the sky in a dazzling display. There are literally dozens of events to suit every taste; from partying into the wee small hours or leisurely activities on 1st Jan. Don’t miss the fabulous New Year’s Day Parade with its Pearly Kings and Queens, marching bands, acrobats and dancers as they weave through the city streets.

Times Square is the place to be if you fancy celebrating New Year in the Big Apple. New York City is renowned for its lavish New Year’s Eve countdown celebrations –in fact it’s not so much as a tradition as a world famous phenomenon! Star-studded live concerts, fireworks displays and of course, the piece de resistance…the Ball Drop. Unmissable and everyone should experience New Year in New York at least once in their lifetime.

Hong Kong

New Year Fireworks at Victoria Harbour, Hong Kong

Hong Kong’s Victoria Harbour is the place to be if you fancy celebrating in the Far East this year. Throngs of revellers will line the stylish waterfront for Hong Kong’s spectacular New Year countdown.
As well as soaking up the carnival from dry land, there are also some harbour cruises and boat tours available to celebrate on the water.

There’s no doubt about it, Sydney go big on New Year’s Eve celebrations and the setting at the famous harbour is a spectacular backdrop for a party Down Under!
